A true analog sound from CDs

At the UK's Futuresonic festival week, Aleks Kolkowski had his vintage record-cutting machine ready to carve sound tracks into CDs and DVD's. People simply had to turn up with a disc and a sound file and he'd "overwrite" the CD with a track ready to be played on a turntable.

Artist Jeff Mills released his recording The Occurrence as a “hybrid CD”.
