Hard of hearing

If you are hard of hearing and your partner isn't, adjusting the volume of a TV becomes a problem.

A solution is to use a headphone with volume control.

A practical problem is most TV's mute the moment optical or headphone out is used.

You can circumnavigate this by using a Bluetooth sender with a pass-through to the AV or soundbar.
