The tagger has a text processor with nifty functions to e.g. extract the opus from the composition.
If the composition is in the MusiCHI database, there is a more elegant method called Composition Mapping. This allows you to write any part of a composition straight into a custom tag.
I use this for Opus/Catalog as these are pretty powerful pieces of information to inspect your collection for completeness.
I also use Year to order by year of composition as in case of a thematic catalog, the numbers don’t make much sense.
Settings > Tag mapping > Custom tags
Composition Map defines the elements to populate the tag.
Voilà!
Add this custom tag to the player and you have a chronological overview.
